Hawzah News Agency- Shia source of emulation Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamedani had a meeting with the members of the commemoration ceremony for the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Haj Qassem Soleimani during which he praised General Soleimani’s characteristics and said,” the culture of martyrdom and jihad in the way of God is highly praised in the life of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and the verses of the Quran; In Quran Allah almighty has introduced the martyrs as alive and immortal.”

This Shia source of emulation went on to refer to a hadith by Imam al-Sadiq (PBUH) saying, “Good and righteous deeds have degrees and ranks, but martyrdom with a divine purpose and jihad in the way of God are the highest virtues and the highest position and dignity in the eyes of God; That is, there is no higher status than that. Martyrdom is the desire of the righteous, therefore, Amir al-Momenin (PBUH) says to Malik al-Ashtar: O Malik, I have asked God to make my death and yours martyrdom in his own way, and in the first supplication of Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya, Imam al-Sajjad (PBUH) is asking for martyrdom in the way of God, That’s why Late Imam Khomeini said: Martyrdom is the art of the men of God.”

The senior Shia scholar described martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani as one of the elites of Jihad field in the present time and added,” He was not an ordinary person, God does not grant this eminent position to ordinary people, but he was a sincere person in terms of Islamic culture and Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) he was at a very high level. Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani was one of the elite and warriors in the jihad against the enemies and the arrogant powers.”

Grand Ayatollah Nouri considered it very necessary to introduce the thoughts and efforts of Hajj Qassem Soleimani to the society, especially the young generation, and pointed out that every effort to promote his works, his sermons, his thoughts and ideas is considered very valuable, and he is a good role model for the society, especially the young generation of Iran.”
